Not only are these sweet Nature Paper Dolls beautifully decorated with natural materials, they are also really fun to create.

Did anyone else love paper dolls when they were little? I spent hours playing with paper dolls and they make up some of my favorite childhood memories, but no matter how hard I push them on her, my daughter just won’t show any interest in them. However, these sweet Nature Paper Dolls finally peaked her interested! She had so much fun with them, and I know other kids will too!

Fairy Boats

These Fairy Boats are easy to make and they will surely spark your child’s imagination and lead to hours of outdoor fun!

Okay, full disclosure: I’m a total sucker for anything miniature sized. I think I get more excited about arranging dollhouse and building fairy houses than my kids do! So, helping my kids make this tiny Fairy Boat was obviously no different, but I think everyone will have as much fun with it as I did! The entire process was fun – from collecting materials, to building it, to watching it float down a stream.

This Strawberry Apricot Crisp is an easy and delicious summer treat. Low in sugar and big on flavor, parents and kids alike will love it!

Earlier this week, the apricots on our tree suddenly turned that pretty light orange color and began dropping like crazy. It’s funny how summer fruit seems to ripen all of sudden. So, we’ve been harvesting like crazy and this Strawberry Apricot Crisp was a perfect way to use up some of our ripe apricots. It’s lightly sweet, very flavorful and really easy to make. Over the years, it’s become a summertime favorite for my family.

Twig Stars

These Twig Stars make a really sweet holiday craft and decoration, but they’re also a fun and simple Forest School inspired math activity that your child will love.

Although it’s summer break, we still try to keep a learning rhythm going throughout the week. I love this project because it combines arts and crafts with science and math. Both of my kids loved going to the forest and collecting twigs for this project. My youngest really enjoyed measuring the twigs, counting the points, and talking about shapes, and my oldest had so much fun putting the star together and creating the felt flowers.
